The term "export" is derived from the conceptual meaning as to ship the goods and services out of the port of a country. The seller of such goods and services is refered to an "exporter" who is based in the country of export whereas the overseas based buyeris refered to as an "importer". In International Trade, "exports" refers to selling goods and services produced in home country to overseas markets.

In economics, an export is any good or commodity, transported from one country to another country in a legitimate fashion, typically for use in trade. Export goods or services are provided to foreign consumers by domestic producers.

Export of commercial quantities of goods normally requires involvement of the customs authorities in both the country of export and the country of import. The advent of small trades over the internet such as through Amazon and e-Bay have largely bypassed the involvement of Customs in many countries because of the low individual values of these trades. Nonetheless, these small exports are still subject to legal restrictions applied by the country of export. An export's counterpart is an import.

Definition

The definition of Export is when you trade something out of the country. In economics, an export is any good or commodity, transported from one country to another country in a legitimate fashion, typically for use in trade.

Is it possible to export data from MS Excel to MS word to generate a report?
Q. My data is currently saved in Excel and I need to generate printable reports which would show only the data needed. I would like to know if there is a way to create reports in Excel or maybe export the required data into Word (maybe using a macro?). The Word document could then be printed and submitted as a report. Does anyone has any suggestions?

A. There are many ways of doing this. I'll outline 3 of them and the good news there is no need for macros! 1. Open spreadsheet>>highlight data>>copy (ctrl+c)>>Open word>>Paste (ctrl+v). Basically what this method does is copy the data from excel. When pasted into word the data is converted into a ordinary Word table. 2. Use the Paste Special command: #Open your Word document. #Open your Excel spreadsheet. # Within Excel, select the cells you want to copy into Word. # From the Edit menu, click Copy. # Switch back to your Word document. # Place the insertion point where you want the data placed. # From the Edit menu, click Paste Special. # Select Microsoft Excel Worksheet Object. # Click OK. This basically produces the same result as 1.… [cont.]

How does one start an export company in America? What are the benefits and drawbacks?
Q. I want to get into the import export business and am wondering where to start as far as setting up a company. I have several contacts who are already requesting specific products. Do I even need to set up a company? What kind of expenses could be deductible? What kind of business entity is right for this- would an LLC work? Thanks.

A. You could use your LLC to gain experience in business law and then you can help determine the business laws of any country in question. Your expenses could include anything from business licensing, rent costs, legal and professional cost of becoming a export lawyer professional, and so on (fixed costs). Doing this on your own may involve going to visit someone like an Economic Development Officer in you community to find out what's required at the municipal (city) level first. You may need to take some training courses on New Business Development (a good course that helps you generate ideas on what you what to focus on for your particular exporting business). The benefits would be putting yourself in a huge global market versus just… [cont.]

How much does it cost to export candy from Canada to the Czech Republic?
Q. How much does it cost to export candy (eg. Clodhoppers) from Canada to the Czech Republic? By that, I am how much as the costs shipping from the factory to the final consumer in the Czech Republic, including shipping, insurance, middlemen, taxes, importers, and distribution. If you can include any sources, that would be great!

A. With price differences between places like Canada and the Czech Republic it wouldn't be worth while. You would either lose money selling at local prices, or lose money because you have set a profit making price that is well above local prices.
