How to make apple pie shots with a liquor other than everclear?
Q. I want to make a couple gallons apple pie shots, but i live in ohio and everclear is not leagal. Every recipe ive seen calls for 1 gallon apple jiuce 1 gallon of cider a few cinnamon sticks and a liter of everclear. I want to use another liqour but i dont want to make it too sweet, so does anyone have a recipe for some with maybe like bacardi 151

When I have vodka I usually just feel tired and laugh at just about anything. But would my reaction to different types of alcohol be any different? Yes!, it all goes down to your own body and what it can can handle, whether the drink was distilled, brewed or fortified, and what the drink was made from, the chemicals involved in the process...etc. Gin, for example, is made from juniper berries, long used as a depressant, other forms of alcohol are an anti-depressant, like tequila and rum is basically just pure sugar. Basically, different people are affected different ways by different alcoholic drinks. For me personally, I can drink beer or white wine all day and rarely even suffer from a hangover, but hit me with hard liquor, and I'm a dribbling mess that night, and suffer for it the next morning. You just have to learn what you can handle, and it's all trial and error.

The best place I have found to buy liquor is costco, but they don't have the liquor I want... I really enjoy a drink called "hand grenade"... sooo delicious. and you can hardly taste the alcohol if made correctly: *1 1/2 oz gin * 1 1/2 oz grain alcohol (everclear) * 1 1/2 oz melon liqueur (midori) * 1 1/2 oz rum * 1 1/2 oz vodka mix all together in big pitcher with ice. add water and sugar to taste! enjoy! i also pour it in sonic slushies. you can't taste the alcohol in that either.

But, i was told i wouldn't be able to handle drinking it straight because it will kill me, lol...meaning I wouldn't be able to handle it. Supposedly it burns extremely bad especially when you breath in. Now, when I drink liquor, I usually drink whiskey sours and adios m*ther f*ckers...which is like 8 shots. Give me some feed back, because I dont wanna look like an idiot in front of people when I drink it tonight. If its really that bad, let me know. Thanks

A. I have tried everclear. It is 190 or 195 proof, which equates to 90% + alcohol. I tried a sip of it straight, it is bad and it does BURN real bad. The bottle even tells you not to drink it straight. I recommend mixing it with a non-carbonated beverage like lemonade. If mixed with soda, the soda will instantly go flat. Keep in mind it is pure grain and is extremely flammable. You can get alcohol poisoning very quickly with it, so just be careful and have fun.

Why does beer make me feel sick?
Q. Whenever I drink beer I always have a way worse hangover than when I just drink hard liquor. For instance, last night I did shots of rum and vodka, then finished with two beers and my hangover was worse than a different time when I drank many various hard liquor shots (some everclear!) and no beer. Why is this?
