What beverage to have with a candy bar?
Q. I've saved myself a treat for doing a lot of chores today - two loads of laundry, dishes, cleaning bathroom and kitchen, including mopping the floors. But, I can't decide what beverage I should have to go with it - here's what I have to drink: 1. Milk 2. Hot chocolate 3. Cranapple cider 4. Green or Oolong tea 5. Grape soda Which would you choose - best answer will have an explanation of why the beverage will go well with the chocolate candy bar.

A. I would go with the Cranapple cider. The tartness of the drink will offset the sweetness of the chocolate. Milk or hot chocolate would just make everything that much sweeter. So would grape soda. Tea is good, but not with candy. I don't know why, it just doesn't seem right. By the way good for you. I keep putting off the mopping forever, or until my folks come for a visit.

What alcoholic beverage can I consume and still diet? What alcoholic beverage has no calories?
Q. I am twenty one but I have gained weight siginificantly in the last two years, I love to exercise but I need to get my eating (and what I eat) under control. The only thing about this is I like to go out with my friends on weekends and drink, I do not eat any fatty foods while out but I believe the drinking is still having a huge effect on my weight. What alcoholic beverage can I consume that doesnt contain many calories and still proceed with weight loss? FYI Im not fond of dark soda (if any at all) I would usually mix with tea, sprite, or my ultimate fav cranberry juice

How will I feel with a beverage that is mixed with a 40 percent alcohol beverage?
Q. Don't preach to me because it's not illegal to drink the way I do it (my parents are watching me and providing the alcohol for me and that's not illegal) anyway. I'm 125 pounds, I'm 5 feet 8 1/2 inches. Every time we are at a party in my house and we want to serve alcoholic beverages we serve Pisco Sour. So it's not the 40 percent alcohol beverage straight from the bottle. So how would I feel?

A. News flash...if you are under the legal drinking age in your state, it IS illegal to drink alcohol. The fact that your parents are supplying it is irrelevant (except that, technically, they are breaking the law, too). If you are serving it to others who are also under age, then you are breaking numerous other laws, and so are your parents. Just thought you couldn't care less and I'd tell you anyway.

Is there a hot beverage that is good for you?
Q. I freeze in the winter time, but I do not like coffee. I don't think it is good for you and it gives you yuck breath. Is there a good hot beverage that warms you up and is also good for you?

A. Yes -- TEA!!! Good old Lipton tea is good for you because it's mostly Black Pekoe Tea, which is high in antioxidants. Hot Green Tea is also good for you. Hot apple cider is not as good for you as tea, but it's better for you than soft drinks.

What alcholic Beverage has the fewest calories?
Q. I'm on a diet and I'm wondering what alcholic beverage I can drink. Please don't tell me to drink no alcholic beverages. I'm aware that that is the best way to go, but that's not going to happen. So what can I drink?

A. 1 20 oz bottle of Miller Lite only has 96 calories. Besides vodka shots, you'll be hard pressed to find a drink with fewer calories. Wine has between 100-150 calories a serving, depending on the type. It also has added health benefits, so that would be a good option too. Just have what you want, but don't go overboard. Limit yourself to 1 or 2 servings. And stay away from the sweet stuff. That'll pack on the calories quick. EDIT: Ashley, I just want to defend some beers. Miller Lite (I use that as an example, because it's what I drink regularly, so know about) only has 2.6 grams of sugars. That's less than any white or red wine. So, you really can have a low calorie, low carb beer that tastes good.

Is there a hot caffeinated beverage that won't stain my teeth?
Q. I was thinking of getting my teeth professionally whitened but I understand that if I do, and then I continue to drink coffee, the whiteness will be gone. I don't know if I can survive the winter without a hot caffeinated beverage in the morning, though. All I can think of is grinding up a No Doze and stirring it into a cup of hot water, which does not sound very appealing. Can anyone suggest a nice hot caffeinated beverage for the cool fall and winter mornings coming up? If not, how about a cold caffeinated beverage that I could have with some nice hot oatmeal? It has to be clear or white in color.

A. Try tea! I think white tea has caffeine.. besides being really tasty (and hot!), it won't stain your teeth. And although I'm sure Peach Pie had the best of intentions, Sprite doesn't contain any caffeine.

A. There is no such thing as healthy alcohol consumption. Alcohol is a POISON to every cell in your body... It causes brain damage, liver damage, kidney damage, increases risk of cancer from mouth to anus... To make the least damaging night, you need to make sure you avoid ANY form of Tylenol/Paracetamol because it causes kidney damage. The more filtered an alcohol is, the less hangover you get... You can take cheap, sh*tty, lighter fluid smelling vodka and make it tasteless by running it through a brita water filter a minimum of 4 times. Filtering Vodka:

A. Any alcohol will get you drunk, if you drink enough of it. The ones with the highest alcohol content will be straight spirits: vodka, gin, whiskey and rum. Consequently, drinks with lots of these spirits in them will be likely to get you drunk quickly - Long Island Iced Teas were a good suggestion, rum and cokes, screwdrivers (vodka and orange juice), etc. However, the bigger question is this: Why would you want to spend a ton of money, endanger your health, and then not remember any of it? You should definitely go out on your 21st, but don't drink to black out. It's not safe, and it's not fun, especially when you wake up hungover the next day. Go to a slightly classier place, order some better drinks, and then get a cab home. If you… [cont.]

Q. I've just bought a non alcoholic malt beverage, 4 dozens of cans, and then I've found out that its expiry date has passed 10 days ago. Location of elements in a commercial beverage cooler?
Q. I need to cut up a beverage cooler, the kind that you'd see in a small convenience store, with the glass door and shelves, for a movie prop. The machine is dead and I can do what I want to it, but I need to cut the back out and am worried that that is where the cooling elements are embedded. Does any one know? I'm hoping they are in the sides. The model is a Beverage-Air MT27 with a swing door. I see the compressor at the bottom but am not sure where the freon line goes. Thanks to any refrigeration experts out there!

A. It just went up to $7.00 per drink...I know, I work for United Airlines. Better to bring a few miniatures with you and order a soda and when nobody is watching pour it into your glass and drink up. You should be able to get the bottles through security as they are less than three ounces.

What is the fermented beverage made with honey, water, and no yeast?
Q. I'm looking for the name and ideally recipe details of a fermented beverage in the mead family made mostly with honey, a small amount of water, and no yeast added. The fermentation uses naturally occurring microorganisms normally present in the honey that only become active when the sugar concentration falls into a specific range. I read about it once, but now can't find the details. What is it? Appreciate the answers so far. The thing I saw definitely wasn't using wild yeasts, but some other bugs present in the honey. The recipe was somewhere in the region of equal parts honey+water, with an effective starting gravity over 1.200, beyond where yeasts (wild or not) could thrive. Anybody heard of this?

Why do I get a headache after drinking just one alcoholic beverage?
Q. I enjoy drinking the occasional beer, amaretto sour, margarita, or glass of riesling wine but within a few hours I develop a headache that can only be slept off. Otherwise I am a very healthy individual who eats a good diet, does not drink caffeine (I am sensitive), and drinks water constantly. I am curious as to the cause as well as any possible solutions. It would be nice to enjoy a beverage from time to time.

A. Hangovers are multi-causal. Ethanol has a dehydrating effect by causing increased urine production (such substances are known as diuretics), which causes headaches, dry mouth, and lethargy. Dehydration causes the brain to shrink away from the skull slightly.[3] This can be mitigated by drinking water or an oral electrolyte solution after consumption of alcohol. Alcohol's effect on the stomach lining can account for nausea. Because of the increased NADH production during metabolism of ethanol by the enzymes alcohol dehydrogenase and aldehyde dehydrogenase, excess NADH can build up and slow down gluconeogenesis in the liver, thus causing hypoglycemia. Another factor contributing to a hangover are the products from the breakdown of ethanol… [cont.]

How to open a beverage drive thru?
Q. Just am wondering the steps I need to take to open a beverage drive thru ?
Asked by hcaoh - Sat Nov 24 00:57:34 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The most important thing is passion, what sort of beverage drive thru do you want to operate? Then consider this: 1. Capital to start this operation 2. Experience in this trade 3. Any ready location? 4. Any ready manpower to operate the stall? 5. Local legislation and rental laws 6. Supplier and stakeholders net work. These steps are just enough to start thinking about a drive thru, but regardless remember this: location, location, location. For any shop to make $$, location is everything. I have written more on hope it helps.

These steps are just enough to start thinking about a drive thru, but regardless remember this: location, location, location. For any shop to make $$, location is everything. I have written more on hope it helps.

A. I'd say wine. That seems the be the question asked most often about how to get a stain out of carpeting. This might also make sense since if your drinking wine you may not have your balance as much as you think you do. Also,. Iced Tea is hard to get out of carpets as tea stains,, especially the homade kind.
